Made from selvedge denim which is a higher quality denim which is typically sold and worn unwashed d- it is a true raw denim. Selvedge is the narrow, tightly woven band on both edges of the denim fabric. It prevents the edge of the denim from unravelling and shows a clean, finished look. This type of denim is more durable and retains its pigment for longer.

A note from Jeanne Hoffman:

“For this collaboration, I didn't want to simply print my paintings onto clothes. Rather, it made sense to use the same approach I use when painting: to borrow elements from different works and assemble them into patterns fitting for the end result – the particular garment.

What unfolded was a game of visual tennis between me and the Poetry team, and it became a conversation centred on the beauty of gardens. So perhaps the collection will inspire you to go outdoors and enjoy the flowers, or even start a garden – I like to think of these clothes being paired with a sunhat and gardening gloves.’’
